Infant-PreK Apprentice Teacher

*Early Childhood Apprentice Teacher* *Are you interested in pursuing a career in the early childhood education field? The Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance is seeking individuals interested in a paid employment opportunity for the TECTA Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program.
* *We are currently seeking apprentices to fulfill an apprentice teacher position in a chosen child care program in Pleasant View, TN.
* *TECTA will pay for college course credit in Early Childhood degree programs including, but not limited to, Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's of Applied Science and Bachelor's Degree.
* *Only candidates that complete an official application (provided through email) and can commit to a three-year program will be considered for this position.
* *Duties:* - On the job training - Day to day expectations of the program director and mentor teacher at the assigned licensed child care center - Day to day expectations of the TECTA Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program (professional development, college coursework completion, etc.
) *Skills:* - No experience required.
Apprentices will be mentored by an assigned, high-quality, DHS licensed child care center director and classroom teacher.
Only applicants that are able to commit to a 3-year program and possess the desire to pursue a career in the early childhood education field will be considered.
*Requirements:* -Apprentices must be at least 18 years of age.
-Apprentices must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
-Apprentices must adhere to TN child care licensing requirements.
-Apprentices must not already be employed at a DHS licensed child care center.
-Apprentices must complete the emailed application in order to be considered for an interview (an email will come from a staff member after applying through Indeed).
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.
00 - $18.
