We are actively seeking a dedicated Building and Grounds Technician primarily focused on maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our commercial and large apartment complexes by efficiently managing trash pickup and ensuring the cleanliness of dumpster areas.
Additionally, this role will involve supporting other maintenance tasks and filling in for absent employees when necessary.
The ideal candidate will display excellent organizational skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
The primary function of this role is to oversee and execute trash pickup and ensure that dumpster areas are consistently clean and well-maintained.
The Building and Grounds Technician will be relied upon to maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the property.
May occasionally assist with lawn care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Trash Pickup and Dumpster Area Cleaning:
Conduct thorough and regular trash pickup across the properties.
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of dumpster areas.
Monitor and manage waste disposal to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
As Needed Maintenance Support:
Fill in for absent employees, providing support for yard crews or other maintenance tasks as required.
Assist in performing grounds maintenance duties such as mowing, weeding, and basic landscaping when needed.
Support with preventive maintenance tasks or minor repairs as necessary.
Adherence to Standards:
Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices while executing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with company cleanliness standards across the properties.
Communication and Reporting:
Report any issues or concerns related to property cleanliness or maintenance promptly to the designated supervisor.
Maintain clear and effective communication with the management regarding any significant maintenance requirements or observations.
Other Duties as Required:
Adapt to additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the management based on operational needs.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure overall property upkeep and appearance.
Education and Experience
One year of experience in lawn care is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Reliable transportation & current drivers license
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent time management skills.

Ability to operate machinery, to include zero turn mowers, power washers, skid steers, etc.
Ability to drive Millan Enterprise vehicles and keep them maintained and in good condition.
Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically required: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.
Compensation and Benefits: $15 - $18 hourly; Medical, vision, dental, 401k 3% match, PTO, major holidays
