Duties
Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Sets up cafeteria lines, steamtables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages; replenishes as necessary.
Break down and cleans tables and area when meal is finished and returns dishes and food to the kitchen area.
Cleans exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings, and walls.
Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash.
May unloads and stores food from delivery trucks.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, chapter 2.
Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted.
Candidates must be able to continually stand, walk, stoop, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.
May be required to work on a ladder, and use powered cleaning equipment.
Physical is required.
Must be 18 years of age at time of appointment.

FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts.
A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.
5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400.
A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
