POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intake Operator is a key member of the Logistics team.
This position requires operating and cleaning the receiving equipment and coordinating the logistics within the receiving bays.
The Intake Operator is responsible for carrying out tasks in accordance with IDSA/USDA, Company policies, OSHA, regulations and applicable laws, while following the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
In addition to ensuring all documentation is timely, accurate, and complete, this position is responsible for ensuring that GMP’s, Sanitation requirements and performance measures are tracked and met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete antibiotics, titratable acidity, and component testing on milk and cream.
Create BOLs and other documentation for cream and MPP loads.
Preform the loading of cream and MPP loads.
Monitors and documents chemical additions and consumption compared to CIP standards.
Informs supervisor of any issues or concerns.
Cleans lines, silos, and other process equipment in accordance with SOP’s.
Coordinates efficient flow of tankers through the receiving process.
Completes all work instructions, production log sheets, and sanitation log sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
Demonstrates ability to support others while achieving goals.
Communicates safety issues and concerns to the Logistics Supervisor or Safety Coordinator.
Complies with and follows established SOPs for milk receiving efficiencies.
Continuously monitors all aspects of the production process for leaks and spills; Takes immediate corrective action and informs the supervisor on duty.
Completes pre-operational checks on all equipment before starting a process.
Completes additional projects, as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent work-related experience.
Raw milk testing certified in accordance with PMO a plus.
Experience:
Plant environment experience a plus.
Production Intake/Receiving experience a big plus.
Working Conditions:
Subject to all environmental conditions including inside and outside.
Physical Requirements:
Ascending and/or descending of ladders and stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms on a regular basis.
Body agility is emphasized.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances on a regular basis.
Repetitive motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time on concrete.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist on a regular basis.
Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

Lifting: Able to lift up to 80lbs of hoses occasionally, up to 30lbs regularly.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Includes activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of production lines and equipment preferred.
Ability to check antibiotics of raw milk and finished products in accordance with PMO and published SOP’s preferred.
