*Main Responsibilities: Engineering Co-Op *
· Validate current manufacturing processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and document, communicate, and conduct training on improvements.
· Analyze best practices and develop manufacturing processes to achieve plant objectives through problem-solving.
· Manage systems and process controls, documentation of projects and standard work instructions, and area tools and equipment.
· Assist the engineering team in other various operations productivity improvement or special projects.
· Assist the engineering team in processing, quoting, implementing, launching, and maintaining engineering changes, collaborating with other areas, and providing shop floor support.
· Recommend fixture and process designs and assist engineering and quality team in customer corrective actions.
· Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.
*Education and Experience:*
· 2 years of undergraduate studies working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
· Knowledge of process engineering is preferred.
· Knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and practices is preferred.
· Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving, or other applied leadership experience is preferred.
