Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor assists with managing a strong clinical team under the supervision/oversight of the Clinical Director.
The Clinical Supervisor is involved with clinical operational oversight and supervision to assigned clinical service staff that may include clinical therapists and clinical therapist-interns.
The Clinical Supervisor ensures adherence to the mission, vision, and values of the organization as well as the Family Care Center clinical service policies and procedures.
This Clinical Supervisor assists with managing and ensuring service quality and clinical documentation compliance while collaborating closely with the Clinical Director and team members to achieve the organization’s clinical and fiscal division goals and service outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities: Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources according to organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards.
Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
Participates in leading clinical team meetings to ensure clinical service goals are met and program and organizational developments are communicated, understood, and implemented.
Provides guidance/supervision to group and individual providers achieving below average treatment outcomes and consults with Clinical Director regarding disciplinary action that may be warranted due to underperformance.
Participates in monthly peer review and other quality improvement activities while collaborating closely with Clinical Director to ensure clinically sound documentation.
Reviews, rejects, and approves clinical documentation for assigned clinical staff daily and provides feedback to providers.
Ensures clinical documentation meets internal divisional and external payer requirements.
Reports all adverse incidents to the Clinical Director immediately.
Consults with Clinical Director on any incident that requires external reporting.
Reviews assessments & staff’s diagnoses along with appropriate recommendation for treatment services with Clinical Director.
Monitors treatment plan service delivery compliance i.

, ensures providers deliver services in type and quantity consistent with the treatment plan and minimizes over and/or under-utilization of services.
Addresses complaints made about provider(s) or services by payers and/or consumers.
Reports complaints per policy to the Clinical Director and the Director of Healthcare Compliance.
Conducts documented supervision with assigned clinical staff and provides ongoing feedback to each provider concerning quality of clinical services and work performance.
Involved with onboarding curriculum/training of new staff and students.
Consults with Family Care Center Training Manager to ensure standardized practices as needed.
Other Duties: Performs additional duties as assigned by leader.
Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility: Supervises 5-10 staff.
Core Responsibilities: Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
Be willing to accept supervision and work well with others.
Assists in driving “Five Star” clinic performance.
Comply with all organizational policies, the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, FCC Way and required annual training.

Adheres to safe working practices and always follows all organizational safety policies and procedures.
If applicable, wears appropriate PPE as outlined by relevant policy and procedures.
Demonstrates compliance with all state, federal and all other regulatory agency requirements.
Ensure strict confidentiality of all medical records, PHI, and PII.
Act as the liaison with all employees, third parties, and patients to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a mental health discipline required.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in clinical therapy required.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in clinical supervision required Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) required Work Environment and Conditions: Continually required to sit, utilize hand, and finger dexterity, talk, and hear.
Work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Frequently working at a desk in front of a computer.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
