We're hiring a Technical Manager-Process Engineering to join our team in Hopkinsville, KY! In this role you will be responsible for leading the engineering department, supporting production and Continuous Improvement activities of the Apex 1 Operations.
The Technical Managers’ area of focus will be process scale up, handover from R&D, PSM leadership, Controls and CI.
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Directing process engineering functions for multiple production facilities at the Hopkinsville, KY site.
Collaborate with plant business unit leaders to support functions at the site and corporate.
Lead Engineering team: Process, Controls, PSM consisting of 10+ engineers.
Coordinate and lead the day-to-day execution of each core technical function towards performance objectives and the expectations of AE customers.
Develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain operations processes to assure safety, productivity, and quality.
Establish and report operational improvement metrics.
Monitor and improve product & process capability to meet customer requirements and AE expectations.
Conduct root causes analysis and troubleshooting on instrumentation.
Assist in planning and improving production processes.
Communicate with management on any critical issues, external and internal audit results and corrective actions that may impact the operations.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel for Engineering department.
Education and Other Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with minimum 15+ years’ experience in Manufacturing in the chemical space.
Experience in organization and people management skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to Travel up to 20% to other AE sites or customers.
