*ABOUT THE JOB:* This position is responsible for safely maintaining equipment that is dependable & available for meeting our customer’s (internal and external) expectations.
Maintenance Technicians are expected to search for and recommend any repair or process changes that are deemed necessary for Plymouth to meet Customer requirements and allow team members to work in a safe and productive manner.
*WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:* · Responsible for the timely completion of work orders placed through the Mill CMMS.
· Participate in problem solving teams and kaizen events to improve operating performance.
· Demonstrate the ability to trouble shooting all Mill equipment.
· Participate in Team meetings of Maintenance Team Members and Cross Functional Teams as directed.
· Complete Preventative Maintenance procedures and equipment improvement activities.
· Inspects and inventories site-generated hazardous waste staging areas.
· Assists the transfer of site-generated hazardous waste to on-site staging areas.
· Directs storage of site-generated hazardous waste in the hazardous waste staging areas.
· Conducts inspections of Satellite Accumulation Areas.
· Responds to all customers with urgency and professionalism.
· Own and role model Plymouth Tube values and behaviors by embracing and participating in an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust & respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence.
· Understands, applies, and advocates all Company Environmental and Safety policies, procedures, and standards.
· Understands, applies, and advocates all Company Quality Standards.
· Attends all prerequisite training as required by management.
· Has the authority to stop processes to correct quality, safety, or environmental problems, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes are non-compliant.
· Perform other duties as assigned or required.
*WHAT YOU’LL NEED:* * High school diploma or GED * 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance department in manufacturing.
Metals industry experience preferred but not required.
* Strong mathematical aptitude, and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Basic computer skills.
