*What does a day in the life look like?* *Essential Functions and Key Accountabilities* · Fork truck operation.
· Run bill of ladings in QAD.
· Pull, verify, and ship per releases from customers.
· Unload empties on railcars from Wentzville.
· Prepare and load service part frames as needed.
· Maintain railcar tie-down equipment as needed.
· Enter Material into QAD.
· Track inbound and outbound containers.
· Work with freight companies.
· Be able to assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
· Monitor scrap and trash dumpsters.
· Verify parts and unload trucks as scheduled.
· Place inbound material in designated areas.
· Keep dock area clean.
· Keep the empty container area straight.
· Load empty containers to vendors as needed.
· Bring material from the warehouse as needed.
· Verify and package service parts and load service part trucks as scheduled.
· Load customer loads as scheduled.
· Keep the packaging material area straight.
· Rotate stock in the frame yard.
· Maintain and clean forklifts, locomotives, and scissors lifts.
· Misc.
Movement of rail cars when needed.
· Check and verify the contents of rail cars.
· Fill out appropriate shipping paperwork for incoming or outgoing products.
· Cycle counts as needed.
· Assist with training team members.
· Welding, cutting, and grinding.
· Documentation of shipping and receiving checks, tracking.
· Other duties as assigned by Coordinator.
*Safety:* · Work safely and encourage others to do so.
· Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately.
· Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant.
· Be proactively involved in improving working conditions.
*Quality:* · Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them.
· Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals.
· 100% on-time delivery to customers.
· Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them.
*Housekeeping:* · Maintain the appearance of a World Class Facility · Actively support full implementation of the 5S’s, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat, and properly maintained.
*Continuous Improvement/ Training:* · Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices.
*Education & Experience:* · Must have a High School or GED Equivalent.
· Must complete training in post-employment, and department-specified training.
· Must be certified on fork truck / track mobile.
· Safety Video and obstacle test 80%.
· Experience with rail loading, truck loading, and regulations · Knowledge of shipping procedures and general office procedures · Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem-solving, or other applied leadership experience.
*Technical Skills:* · Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) · Basic Trouble Forklift license is required.
· Proficient in QAD systems · Quality Management Systems · Human Development Management · Cross-functional leadership · Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
· Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding) · Logistics.
