POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physician Practice Clinical Analyst serves as the primary support contact for the clinical EHR and other related software.
This position reports to the Director of IT and will coordinate with the COO of physician practices.
Delivers work within established timeframes.
Must be able to manage/multi-task on several large assigned projects incorporating all aspects of IT
Direct, gather, and report EHR and quality activity for HRSA, CMS, and other programs
Defines, documents, builds and maintains EHR application content
Completes thorough unit testing of all build prior to handoff for functional and/or integrated testing
Documents and reports system issues through internal chain of command; communication with vendor where appropriate
Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve system issues
Participates in on-call rotation
Proactively manages barriers to fulfilling work requirements
Participates in workflow design and understands system impact to end users
Performs EHR maintenance and upgrades on a routine basis
Stays current with new application functionality and enhancements
Maintains confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored or accessed by the system.
Complies with all HCMC policies
Train staff on clinical EHR and deliver hands-on training as needed
Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities
Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department
Works with all clinical, business and technical resources in a positive, supportive and collaborative team manner
Analyzes flowchart processes and recommends ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology.
Plans, schedules and manages multiple projects.
Ensure the integrity of the Greenway system is maintained across multiple applications
Consults directly with clinical and business users, and provides support to end users to assure reliable and system application availability and
Participate in projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor or associate’s degree in information technology or information systems strongly preferred.
Able to use/learn electronic and computer-based patient management and health information software and hardware as requested.
EXPERIENCE:
Functions in an accurate and efficient manner in dealing with patients, families, co-workers and physicians.
5-10 years hospital, ambulatory, surgery center, or physician office and management strongly preferred.
Mentally and physically healthy; strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must be able to sit for several hours consecutively.
