* Position Overview:* Novelis Guthrie is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Coordinator for our automotive finishing plant in Guthrie, KY.
The person in this role will report to the Maintenance Associate EMRA Leaders.
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible to be an on-shift resource to Maintenance Technicians, Operations Technicians, and the Maintenance Leader.
We are looking for a collaborative team player with initiative to own and drive the goals and objectives of the Maintenance Team.
A successful candidate will be self-directed and will have the ability to communicate with team members at all levels.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:*Responsibilities:* * Understands and performs all essential job functions of the Maintenance Technician.
* Provides training, coaching, performance monitoring, motivation, and follow up for Maintenance Technicians.
* Verifies Safety Absolutes and safe work practices are adhered to by shift personnel.
* Works cooperatively with the Associate EMRA for Maintenance in coordinating and executing departmental functions, goals, and objectives.
* Works with Associate Operations Leaders to insure proper and adequate coverage and priorities for on shift Technicians * Is a communication hub between Technicians and department leaders as well as a point of contact between Technicians and Associate Operations Leaders * Ensures accurate pass down information is communicated at each shift change and that escalation procedures are followed.
* Attends meetings and participates in problem solving situations as requested to provide technical input.
* Ensures work schedules and planning are effectively communicated and deployed.
* Qualifications:* * Must have sufficient computer literacy skills and a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and practical applications.
* Requires a high school diploma or G.

Associates Degree preferred.
* Must have met all technical and performance criteria for a Maintenance Technician.
* Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention to detail to inspect maintenance tasks and repair them properly.
* Must be capable of performing under pressure or time sensitive situations.
* Requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all departments to identify and correct maintenance requests.
* Requires the ability to read written instructions, diagrams and other documentation and operate office equipment.
Requires the ability to differentiate color-coded wires, labels, and signage.
* Five (5) or more years of experience in Maintenance.
Aluminum industry preferred.
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

In addition to hunting fishing and hiking residents enjoy the Guthrie Transportation Museum which is the hub of the city’s renewal efforts.
The Guthrie team enjoys partnerships with Hopkinsville Community College Todd County High School Guthrie Fire Department and several local Rotary Clubs.
