*SUMMARY OF POSITION*
Centerstone is seeking therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
No weekend or on call work required.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Develop therapeutic rapport with clients – Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.
* Diagnostic Assessment – Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).
* Concurrent Documentation – Completes documentation within 24 hours.
* Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.
* Treatment Planning – Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.
* Therapeutic Interventions – Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
* Monitoring - Completing urine drug screens to monitor client's progress in treatment and inform treatment.
* Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
* Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads.
This includes telephones and face to face intervention.
* Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES*
* Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products
* Coordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this role
* Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.
* Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education Level *
* Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health, or related field is required.
* Other Master’s level degrees may be considered to provide psychotherapy services based on a review of transcripts.
* For _master’s _degrees other than Counseling, Social Work or Psychology, successful applicants must have passed a minimum of 24 graduate level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling or other behavioral health related classes.
