Job Description
At Blount Rural Health Center, our goal is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
The Dental Sterilization plays a very important part of the connection between the patient and the Dentist.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve by performing a variety of supportive technical and some expanded functions duties in sterilization.
This job description entails the responsibilities of Dental Sterilization; however, this is not an all-inclusive list as the position requires flexibility and acceptance of other tasks as assigned.
Job Duties:
Welcomes patient with a smile
Prepares the treatment room
Sterilization of instruments
Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
Log and maintain all lab cases
Assisting with the flow of the clinic, by focusing on sterilization and the cleanliness of each operatory
Stock treatment areas and monitor inventory to anticipate needed supplies
Conserve dental resources by eliminating waste
Follow Compliance Check List, by completing the tasks: sweeping, mopping, routine cleaning/testing of equipment
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Assures highest productivity daily
Participates in staff meetings
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Conserves resources by elimination of waste, adequate care of supplies and equipment
Physical Requirements:
Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist frequently throughout the day.
May be required to lift up to 40 pounds, as needed.
