is in search of an Intermediate Network System Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team and ATS/ITS professionals at Fort Campbell, KY in support of our government client.
As an Intermediate Network System Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in securing our clients Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure.
Your expertise in cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation will be essential in ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and performance of our clients’ network.
If you have a demonstrated background in DoD cybersecurity policies, Risk Management Framework processes and procedures, and eMASS, with a CompTIA Security+ and Secret Security clearance, we encourage you to apply.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Three (3) to Six (6) + years’ experience in related field.
Possess a valid CompTIA Security + certificate prior to hire.
Ability to plan, organize and lead others in using communication systems, record and manage processes and documentation.
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues and maintain positive working relationships.
Attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and procedures and utilizing Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS).
Knowledge of DoDI 8500.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and DoD Computer Network Defense SW packages, including Vulnerability SW, scanning Tools (e.

Current driver license and the ability to pass motor vehicle violation background check.
Proficiency in safely operating a motor vehicle, navigating the base and military grounds, paved and unpaved roads.

Job Duties: Develop and review assessment and authorization (A&A) documentation to ensure compliance with RMF standards.
Manage the IAVA program for all installation and customer activities.
Provide/push patches for each authorized network–connected device as required.
Develop and review security documentation to include authorization documentation, test plans and reports, and risk assessments.
Access and validate enclave/systems IA controls for information systems being certified IAW RMF (NIPRnet and SIPRnet).
Draft, monitor and report status of approved Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for mitigating risks and meeting A&A compliance requirements.
Maintain a current vulnerability findings document or spreadsheet for which the Authorizing Official (AO) accepted risk.
Scan networks and implement solutions that meet network security requirements.
Provide guidance for system A&A for installation and tenant activities.
Maintain A&A documentation in electronic format and the Fort Campbell Risk Management Framework Process (RMF).
Perform and review application scans and maintain information assurance policies and procedures.
Utilize the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to record RMF activities such as control implementation of all applicable Security Controls.
Provide technical input on RMF Assess Only submissions.
Distribute local IA policy, including Network Security, Security Awareness, Remote Access, Acceptable Use, etc.
Draft and maintain SOP documents for the functional category.
