Spring Creek Rehab & Nursing Center is looking for Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our team! Under supervision of a nurse, Certified Medication Aides (CMA) will administer medications with safety techniques and sound judgment.
Provide quality care to patients and performs technical skilled care in compliance with nursing standards, federal, state, local government regulations and company clinical policies.
Responsibilities:
Prepares, administers, and charts medication and treatments within the scope of their practice.
Coordinate with different nurses to assist with medications
Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications
Record medication dosages and times
Observes, records, and alerts Nurse of any behavioral changes
Job Function:
Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Providing great patient care
Answering patient call lights and making rounds
Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising
Performing catheter care
Measures and records temperatures, blood pressures, pulses, oxygen saturation, and respiration.
Records in patient chart
Transferring; manually lifting or by use of mechanical lift, turning, or repositioning patients from bed and or chair
Make bed; change linens, restock room with necessary supplies
Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences
Shift change reports about patients condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities
Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff
Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff
Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine
Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements
Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
Use safety devices and standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection and disease
Assist residents for preparation of for activities and programs within and outside of facility
Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, or discharging patient
Assist nurse on giving treatments and examining patient
Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:
Must have an active Kentucky Registered Nurse Aide License
Kentucky Medication Aide Certification
CPR Certified
