Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests - Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions - Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team - Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary - Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions - Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and minor surgical interventions - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements: - Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner - Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner - Certification from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program - Experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret diagnostic tests - Strong clinical assessment skills including the ability to assess vital signs accurately - Familiarity with acute pain management techniques - Experience in family planning and reproductive health services - Knowledge of dementia care and memory care practices - Ability to provide occupational health services including pre-employment physicals and workers' compensation evaluations Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
