Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities Accurate collection and reporting of money, assisting the public in a courteous and friendly manner, and maintaining shelf stock.
Collection of money Reporting of money Assisting the public Maintaining shelf stock Processing USPS postage transactions Processing USPS Money Order sales transactions Pulling merchandise for online orders Assisting students with gathering textbooks during book rush Verifying student textbook list for accuracy by utilizing Excel Assists students with graduation regalia orders Provide students information about Inclusive Access digital course materials Minimum Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements One year of experience in operating cash register and handling money or similar experience in a retail business.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
Accuracy and minimal mistakes essential in this position.
Must be able to deal with the public in a courteous and friendly manner and be able to concentrate amidst distractions.
Course in bookkeeping or related business subjects, math skills.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications Experience involving transactions with all credit cards and MSU Debit Card System Experience with Microsoft Office Experience with Google Suite Knowledge of USPS postage rules and regulations Knowledge of digital course materials Posting Date 04/04/2024 Closing Date 04/18/2024 Open Until Filled No Special Instructions to Applicants Hourly Rate $10.
