Miss Lucille's Marketplace is looking for an experienced Key Holder to join our team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must have a passion for Miss Lucille’s brand and company, including our variety of goods, both new and old, sold throughout the store
Responsible for outstanding customer service: Welcomes every customer, always puts the customer first, and stops and projects to acknowledge all customers.
Previous selling/retail and customer service experience: Can handle vendor and customer issues with confidentiality and respect, Must be able to handle high-volume retail situations and communicate line traffic while also providing excellent customer service.
Previous Point of Sale and Typing experience required: items are manually entered into our POS.
Accuracy and speed are of utmost importance.
Exceeds customer expectations: enjoys working with others and genuinely helping customers
Able to provide accurate information to customers about store hours, policies, and booth/wall space rental
Completes Keyholder Duties including but not limited to: Opening and closing procedures to company standards, cash handling, safe access, locking/unlocking the store, customer de-escalations, and vendor relationship management
Completes general clerking duties including but not limited to: sales, returns, holds, sold for later pickup, gift cards, answering phones, checking store email, custom order procedures, inclement weather procedures, cleaning and stocking, recovery of vendor booths after high traffic times
Monitors employee time punches, corrects time clock errors, verifies times worked, and approves timesheets at the end of each pay period.
Assists with monthly MiniMarket and Merch Booth inventory
Maintains MiniMarket & Merch Booth merchandising standards
Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism when interacting with customers and vendors.
Must be able to de-escalate employee, customer and vendor situations to agreeable resolutions while keeping information confidential.
Must be able to delegate tasks to employees and monitor progress to ensure follow through
Must be able to self-manage and find tasks for employees to complete during slow traffic times
Assists in training new employees
Responsible for completing employee purchases
Keeps store answering machine and emails current in the absence of the General Manager
Responsible for inventory of and ordering of office and janitorial supplies
Monitors daily Clerk and Loader checklists to ensure tasks are completed by employees
Responsible for input and ending of all vendor sales.
Must be able to delegate tasks as needed and monitor progress to ensure completion.
Qualifications:
POS Experience
Cash Handling Experience
Prior Customer Service experience is a plus.
Typing/Keyboard Skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for up to 10 hrs while assisting customers on concrete and wood surfaces
Compensation:
35 - 40 hours at a rate of $12-$14 per hour
