On Monday, 5 July 2021, after anxiously awaiting the arrival of our furniture, the day had finally come to move all our things into our new home.
To our service was a truck driver and 3 country boys from near parts of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, 2.
5 hours away.
That’s not all that happened that day, though.
Not only did they help put our things into our home, they also took from it.
To my dismay, a mover went through my bathroom drawer and took my #jamesavery @jamesavery bag full of jewelry…
I was gifted my James Avery bracelet on my very first Mother’s Day in 2014 from my son’s paternal family.
It had 5 charms on it.
It took me nearly 8 years to finish my bracelet, 28 charms later, 33 in total, 3 in which are retired (discontinued), and a personalized Daddy’s Girl charm with “BOOBAY” engraved on the back.
On May 28th, 2011, the day of my high school graduation, my grandmother gifted me a personalized bracelet with my first and middle names on it, L’chele Jenee, on the inside “Love Grandma & Grandpa,” and a necklace pendant with my nickname on it, Boobay.
When I moved to Hawai’i in 2014, I bought myself a necklace with 2 Hawaiian heirlooms, an “S” for Sterling and an “L” for L’chele.
I’ve had these pieces of jewelry, and many others in that bag, for many years so I’m sick to my stomach typing this.
I’ve been sick to my stomach since discovering my bag of jewelry was missing.
Not only did they take my precious belongings, they took away my peace of mind and sense of security.
Of my 30 years of life, this was my 12th PCS (Permanent Change of Station) to my 13th house in my 9th state and I have never, EVER been stolen from.
I’m soon moving back to Hawai’i and hoping to find my jewelry and/or the people responsible.
Thanks in advance,
